Abstract: The article is devoted to the agricultural potential of Ukraine and the study of the market of agricultural machinery as an object of public administration. Using a systematic approach in the study of the market of agricultural machinery, the main problems of its operation and prospects for development based on internal potential are identified. Given the interdependence and close connection of the agricultural machinery market with agricultural machinery and agricultural production, there is a need for state regulation of the agricultural machinery market as an object of public administration in order to stop the decline in production, stabilize and further increase production of agricultural machinery and equipment. The authors performed a system analysis and identified aspects of the system approach, which are explained in detail and analyzed in the article. he general functional scheme of the market of agricultural machinery is defined and offered. The organizational model of public management of the market of agricultural machinery is opened and generalized.

The proposed study clearly indicates the need for comprehensive measures by the state as a subject of public administration in the market of agricultural machinery, taking into account its external and internal environment. The article identified priority steps to improve the functioning of the agricultural machinery industry, the agricultural sector of the economy.

It was found that in the creation of the institutional environment of the market the main role is played by the state, as a subject of public administration, regulation of the economy.

It is revealed that in a narrow sense the market is considered as trade in goods and services. In a broad sense, the market is not just a trade, but a system of economic relations between the subjects of the economic system.

The authors propose their own interpretation of the agricultural machinery market — a set of interconnected structural components and a set of relationships between the forming elements and elements that ensure its functioning for the production, sale and operation of agricultural machinery to maximize the economic effect of all parties.

It is proposed to present all market participants and their relationships in the general functional scheme of the agricultural machinery market. This allowed us to study the market, take into account the analysis of the agricultural machinery market and offer the necessary recommendations for its operation.
