Анотація: Представлено результати дослідження сучасних наукових напрацювань, що стосуються релігійно-паломницького туризму та його ролі у сприянні сталому місцевому розвитку. Наведено авторську класифікацію різновидів туризму. Визначено роль релігійно-паломницького туризму (як окремого туристичного напряму) у забезпеченні сталого розвитку на місцевому рівні в Україні. Обґрунтовано механізм впливу релігійно-паломницького туризму на сталий місцевий розвиток. Виокремлено класифікацію релігійнопаломницького туризму за метою здійснення. Виділено перелік найбільш поширених у світі місць здійснення паломництва. Проаналізовано чисельність паломників, які відвідують щорічно м.
Умань. Обґрунтовано доцільність підвищення якості інфраструктурного облаштування місць здійснення релігійно-паломницького туризму як фактору стимулювання розвитку галузі.
Abstract: The article presents the results of a critical analysis of modern scientific developments concerning religious and pilgrimage tourism and its role in promoting sustainable local development. The author’s classification of types of tourism is given. The classification of religious and pilgrimage tourism by the purpose of implementation is presented. The mechanism of influence of religious and pilgrimage tourism on sustainable local development is substantiated.
Against the background of challenges and threats dictated first by the COVID-19 pandemic, and later by the war unleashed by russia, the development and support of the local economy is extremely important for Ukraine. We see an important role of the tourism sector, especially religious tourism and pilgrimage, in the accelerated recovery of the country’s economy in general and the socio-economic development of the local economy in particular.
In our opinion, the issue of interconnectedness of tourism development, in particular, religious and pilgrimage tourism, and the state of the local economy requires further detailed study.
The purpose of the article is to substantiate the role of religious and pilgrimage tourism in promoting sustainable local development in Ukraine.
Religious and pilgrimage tourism as a branch of tourism can play a significant role in promoting sustainable local development. Despite the seemingly significant number of individual studies of tourism and religious and pilgrimage tourism, there is currently a lack of a systematic and holistic approach to generalizing and systematizing existing research, as well as creating a coherent system for identifying, studying and proposing measures to enhance the role of religious and pilgrimage tourism in promoting sustainable local development.
Given the challenges and threats, as well as opportunities of the present, to stimulate local development, it is necessary to put new emphasis on identifying factors that will affect sustainable local development. We believe that religious and pilgrimage tourism can play a significant role in promoting sustainable local development.
