Abstract: In the article, from the standpoint of a statistical approach, the essence of the transport service is determined, the concept of the market of transport services is considered, its structure is highlighted, and a brief description of various types of transport, their development features in modern conditions of market functioning, is provided. Using statistical methods to analyze the transport services market allows to reveal the mechanisms of its functioning, identify factors that influence its efficiency, and outline the main directions of development. A theoretical and methodological approach to the statistical analysis of the transportation market, which is carried out in three stages, is presented. The development of the transport system in the country takes place in the difficult conditions of military operations against the aggressive policy of russia. Destruction of infrastructure and blackouts are negatively affecting the transportation market at present and are leading to the destruction of the investment attractiveness of this activity in Ukraine. Due to military operations, rail transport has become the main means of freight transportation in Ukraine. This is due to the extensive railway infrastructure in the central and western regions of the country. The development of freight transportation in Ukraine is being hampered by several factors: a significant decrease in demand for certain categories of goods, rising prices for related goods and services, and a shortage of qualified personnel. However, despite this, the transport services market functions according to the National Transport Development Strategy developed in 2018. Its transformation takes place following the key principles of strategy development. First, this is the orientation to the needs of businesses and passengers, development of multimodal transportation, decentralization, transparency, avoidance of interests conflict, and introduction of new financing mechanisms. The formation of a new digital logistics system in wartime allows the transport system in Ukraine to achieve optimal results.
