Abstract: The activities of enterprises in various spheres of the economy, of course, significantly depend on external factors. Martial law, which has been going on in our country for almost four years due to military aggression by russian troops, does not leave any sphere of activity of the national economy untouched by its influence. Therefore, studies on determining of enterprise sustainability in conditions of martial law are relevant. The author conducts a study of the components of economic sustainability of enterprises taking into account various factors and offers practical recommendations. The openness of the markets of the postSoviet states, including independent Ukraine, led, on the one hand, to integration into a single world economic system, on the other hand, had a global impact on both the national economy as a whole and on certain sectors of the economy and individual enterprises. Therefore, adaptation to global manifestations, or rather, the formation of economic resilience of enterprises to external influences is not only a pressing task for each enterprise, but also an urgent need to strengthen economic efficiency, preserve jobs and stable activity. For consideration, the author selected the number of enterprises and individual entrepreneurs as the most numerous categories of business entities. The general trend towards an increase in the total number of business entities is accompanied by temporary fluctuations in the number, which indicates the sensitivity of this indicator to external factors of influence, and especially to the beginning of martial law (2022), when there was a high degree of uncertainty about the further course of events due to military aggression. Thus, the paper studies the impact of negative factors in the form of martial law and its signs on the activities of enterprises, analyzes the sensitivity of economic activity to geopolitical factors and concludes that there is a fairly high correlation between them.
